Privacy Policy

ParkMark  ·  Last updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ParkMark ("the App") handles your information. ParkMark helps you remember where you parked your car. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Data We Collect

ParkMark does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. We do not operate any servers for the App, and there are no accounts. Your parking history - locations, addresses, notes, and the time each spot was saved - is stored exclusively on your device. We have no access to this data.

2. Location

The App asks for access to your location only while you are using it ("While Using the App"). Your location is used to place the parking pin on the map, to show your position on the map, and to show the distance to your car. Location data is processed on your device and is never sent to us.

To show the address of a parking spot, the App uses Apple's built-in geocoding service on iOS. To provide this service, the coordinates of the spot are sent to Apple, and the request is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.

You can allow or deny location access at any time in your device's Settings. Without it you can still view and manage the spots you saved earlier.

3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, which may collect certain data independently:

3.1 Google AdMob

ParkMark displays a banner ad served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), the App asks for your consent before ads are requested, using Google's consent form. On iOS, the App then asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not give consent, no ads are requested and the App remains fully functional. You can change your consent at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy settings (shown when it applies in your region), and your tracking permission in your device's Settings.

This data is used solely for serving and measuring ads and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

3.2 Google Maps

Maps in the App are provided by the Google Maps SDK. To display the map, the SDK requests map data for the area you are viewing and may collect usage and diagnostic information. When the map shows your position, the SDK uses your device's location to draw it. Your use of the map is subject to the Google Maps Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.

3.3 Walking Directions

When you tap "Navigate to car", the App opens Apple Maps or, if installed, Google Maps with the location of your car as the destination. From then on, that app handles your data under its own privacy policy.

4. Sharing a Parking Spot

Sharing happens only when you tap "Share location". The App prepares a message with the address, your note, the time, and links to the spot on Google Maps and Apple Maps, and opens the system share sheet. You choose who receives it. The App does not send anything on its own.

5. Internet Access

The App accesses the internet only to load map data, to look up addresses, and to serve advertisements. Your parking history is never sent over the network. Without an internet connection you can still save your parking spot; its address is added later when a connection is available.

6. Data Retention

All app data is stored locally on your device. The App keeps your 10 most recent parking spots and deletes older ones automatically. You can delete any spot in the App, or delete all data by uninstalling the App. If your device backups are enabled (for example iCloud Backup), app data may be included in them according to your device settings. We do not retain any copies of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

ParkMark is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
